I am hoping to see as many people as possible at the Battle of the Bands this Friday. Please remember to buy your tickets as soon as possible because tickets purchased in advance will save you some money in the long run!
Also, the printer has indicated that we will have contracts ready for distribution near the end of next week. Please look for those to be coming at the end of next week or the first days of second semester.
Finally, the scholarship applications are now available for those of you with children in or going to college. Scholarship applications are available through your head building representatives and also at the union website (www.local1211.org).
Two Family Scholarships are available for the qualifying children of members of the District 211 Teachers Union.
Five Building Scholarships are also available for qualifying students in the five buildings, if any member has children at District 211 schools they are also eligible for these scholarships. The same application is used for both the Family and Building Scholarships.
One Vocational Scholarship is available to BOTH the qualifying children of District 211 Teachers Union members AND qualifying students in ALL District 211 Buildings - including both North and South Academies. Students may apply to ALL three of the types of scholarships but there is a separate application for the vocational scholarship. I have attached fliers about these scholarships below.
